description Established in 2004, this is Indiana's newest state park where you can enjoy camping, hiking, biking, fishing, birding, and wildlife observation. The park is unique because of the large expanses of tall prairie grasses, blooming native wildflowers, and numerous wetlands called fens that wait to be explored. Several picnic areas, shelter houses, playgrounds and a 110 site modern campground, all of which are ADA accessible, can be found within the park.
drivingDirection To prevent arriving at the wrong entrance when using Map Quest or other mapping source, use 5545 Swisher Road, West Lafayette, IN 47906 instead of 4112 E State Road 225. The Swisher Road address will bring you to the Main Gate entrance. From I-65, take exit 178 (State Road 43), south on State Road 43 to Burnett Road to 9th Street Road (1/2 mile), right on 9th Street Road to Swisher Road (3/4 mile), left on Swisher Road to park entrance ( 1 1/2 miles).
